Solat Ujan (Prayer for Rain)

Staying home during the Covid 19 Pandemic in Singapore. Yesterday was so muggy hot and after a much needed early evening refreshing shower was remarking to my wife Jen how i wish it would rain. Went back to my Fruitbat Man Cave of a work room and decided to just plug and play the Klein Electric Guitar with the EDP (Echoplex Digital Pro) with the newly arrived Zoom Q8 set up for my first test run just to check out how it looks with my dimly lit room and the sound fed direct from my Mackie submixer to the pair of XLR inputs of the Zoom Q8.

This vid documents my very first attempt at trying to capture video and audio. The audio is as was played and heard and not post gain and eq adjusted mastered. Shortly after the capture of this vid there was timely thunder and lightning with glorious heavy rain.

I consulted my dear and very talented friend Firman (DJ Rumshot) of Reggae Remedy and Instigator Afrobeat Orchestra for the Malay translation of "Prayer for Rain". Hence I've chosen to title this free improv piece Solat Huhan (Prayer for Rain)
