BREAKING: US Election: Recount to take place in Georgia

Georgia's secretary of state Brad Raffensperger says there will be a recount as there is a margin of a few thousand votes in the key swing state.

Georgia election official Gabriel Sterling added the state is "literally looking at a margin of less than a large high school".

It is the law in Georgia that a recount must take place if candidates are within 0.5% of each other.
