We are finally making our way back home after 6 months stuck in Peru during the Covid 19 pandemic, lockdowns, and border closures of the country. We were stuck in Cusco for about 6 months during the coronavirus pandemic, but now it's time to go to Lima. Driving across the country is prohibited right now with covid, but if you have legal permission from the government to get to your repatriation flight, then it can be done. Not without obstacles. From Cusco to Lima, it's pretty much a one day drive across the whole country of Peru, and during the COVID pandemic, it's not the easiest thing. The police almost did not let us pass several times, but we had to get there, so we made it happen. Covid 19 cases are rising in Peru, and countrywide lockdowns are coming back, so now is the time to go. This is the covid 19 peru travel vlog.
