How the fold away sleeping platform is supported in my 2001 1st gen toyota tacoma trd
Here's a closer look at the folding wood platform in the back of the truck. The concept is pretty simple and very cheap to make. Each wood panel is about 12inch wide and spans the width of the truck bed. Depending on your specific camper shell and truck bed design the dimensions might be different.
Materials I used:
1- sheet of 3/4inch plywood from home depot
8- door hinges and screws
1- 2x4
2- 1x2
4- long wood screws
1- Can black spray paint
