Exploring Network Services for VPCs in VCF 9.1

This presentation by Dimitri Desmidt walks through the network service enhancements in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.1, covering both the distributed and centralized VPC design models. After a brief recap of the network services available in VCF 9.0, the session focuses on what is new in 9.1: the introduction of Virtual Network Appliance (VNA) clusters for distributed designs, tier 0 active-active support with advanced services for centralized designs, and a new VPN service available directly on the transit gateway.

Two demonstrations follow the architectural overview. The first shows a distributed design using a distributed transit gateway and VNA cluster, configured first by a vCenter administrator and then by a VCF Automation tenant, with NAT and load balancing services in scope. The second shifts to a centralized design with a centralized transit gateway, where a VCF Automation tenant configures an IPsec VPN to a remote site.
