When Topshop posted the words “we missed you too” on Instagram, millennial ears pricked up across the UK. Topshop was once a prolific high street store. Many can remember the moment Kate Moss released her range, with an Oxford Street appearance in 2007. However back then trouble was brewing within the company. Soon allegations rolled in against Philip Green, the owner of Topshop and the Arcadia franchise, from sexual harrassment to underpaying staff, alongside speculation over his involvement in the demise of BHS. Although the high street has lost Topshop many can’t forget what once was. Can we ever return to our favourite high street destination?
