GHOSTWIRE TOKYO | Full Game 4K Walkthrough | No Commentary

Since I am on vacation in Tokyo where I have lived for eight years I thought it would be cool to archive a horror game that takes place there. Ghostwire Tokyo was developed by the studio Tango Gameworks which was created by Shinji Mikami, the original creator of Resident Evil.
Ghostwire Tokyo tells the story of a man who finds himself the abandoned district of Shibuya. With the help of a spirit you will take on different Yokai and battle them with mystical powers and abilities. The real star of this game is the Shibuya district and how much detail has gone into bringing it to life. The Japanese language school I studied at for two years was located in Shibuya and I also frequently went out drinking with friends during my student days. So I know Shibuya quite well and it was unbelievable to see it portrayed like this. Though shop names and brands are different, the street layout is almost perfect and it really got me in the mood before my vacation began.
The different Yokai you fight offer some variety and the boss battles often have some unique mechanic or gimmick in order to beat them. There are plenty of side quests to complete and there are a lot of collectibles and upgrades to find as well. The story is probably the weakest part, though there were some twists and surprises that I did not see coming. Overall its a nice little snack for those who want to spend some digital hours in one of the coolest districts in Tokyo.
