Vaccine 2nd Shot | Is it Really Necessary?

When the immune system encounters a vaccination for the first time, it activates two types of white blood cells. The plasma B cells are the first to appear, and they are principally responsible for the production of antibodies.
Unfortunately, because this cell type is short-lived, even though your body is flooding in antibodies after just a few weeks, but without the second shot, your immunity would break down quickly. Then there are T cells, which are especially designed to recognize and kill a certain virus. Memory T cells, for example, can stay in the body for decades until they find their target, implying that immunity to vaccines or viruses may last a lifetime.
