As a rule, you can allow at least 6 months from receipt of the application, but due to the expected increase in the number of applications following the change in the law in June, the duration may increase considerably in the near future.

The processing time for naturalization applications will also depend on many factors:

✅ Did you submit all documents when you submitted your application?
✅ Do only you want to be naturalized or do your relatives also want to be naturalized?
✅ Are there any discrepancies in the documents, e.g. regarding the spelling of names?
✅ How quickly do other authorities respond to the letters from the naturalization authority?

So make sure to read everything thoroughly and submit ALL the possibly proof and documentation you can in your first application submission to avoid any delays!
