Indonesian navy declares all 53 sailors aboard sunken submarine dead

Indonesian authorities said on April 25, 2021, that the KRI Nangala 402 submarine, which went missing off the coast of Bali, was found broken into three pieces. All 53 crew aboard the 44-year-old submarine were confirmed dead. The military ruled out human error as the cause of the accident.
