CEEN 545 - Lecture 14 - Time History Development
In this lecture, I discuss two of the more common ways that engineers and seismologists develop earthquake time histories for use in engineering dynamic modeling or analysis: time history scaling, and spectral matching. Advantages and disadvantages for both are discussed. Some guidance is provided on what to look for in developing a "good" time history from spectral matching.
