Testing out the Crawl Control featured in the Toyota Prado Kakadu and the 200 Series Sahara. Can it dig its way out of sand?
it's part of the Atrac system and controls the throttle at selected speeds whilst applying brake pressure to opposing sides of an open diff to send drive to the wheel with the most resistance/more traction. therefore creating drive for the vehicle.
it's a bit of a phenomenon that it works in sand. and can did its way out. just be careful not to overheat the transmission in the process.
