Why Do Musicians Struggle With Mental Illness?

Chances are an artist whose music you love passed away at an early age. Why is it so many musicians struggle with mental illness?

This is such a common phenomenon that a number of famous musicians have even died eerily at the same age: 27.

So what’s the deal? If you’re a musician, are you headed for an early grave or a life of suffering and mental illness?
