Nation Update: Tenant evicted

A nightmare that lasted nine months finally came to an end for landlord Stephen Alleyne.
Last Thursday, court martials led by Ervin Small served an eviction notice on tenant Hosanna Songs.
Even with a signed order from the courts, she was still refusing to go.
Songs, who was given both verbal and written notice as far back as June last year, was told by the courts she had until December 30, 2020 to vacate the St James property.
Alleyne told Nation News although he was owed more than seven thousand dollars in rent, in addition to the court costs, he also had to pay one thousand dollars for the removal of the items.
He vowed never to rent the apartment again.
