DIY Hamburg ship model making

Making nice progress on my scratch build scale 1:200 model of the 1969 passenger liner TS Hamburg. The ship sailed for the German Atlantic Line. Later in life she sailed as the Maxim Gorkiy until she was scrapped in 2009. I photographed the ship 18 years ago and fell in love with this ship and its futuristic funnel and oddly shaped superstructure. It was about time to make a model of the ship. Getting closer to finishing the model and having had several requests for a video I decided to upload this “update” clip. The model is mostly old fashioned hand crafted and augmented with some 3D printed elements.
