We almost got killed in Mexico. It's the first and only time we've feared for our lives on this trip. The area in the state of Chiapas is known for its lawlessness, and unfortunately we were in the wrong place, at the wrong time with a camera. The locals did NOT like it.

Despite what happened we still believe that Mexico is a safe and friendly place to travel to. This experience will not stop our adventure, only make us a little more wary.
