Tariffs on South African critical minerals into the U.S. are not in American interests. That was the message from South African High Commissioner to the UK, Jeremiah Nyamane Mamabolo, to CGTN’s Li Jianhua.
His comments came as South African President Cyril Ramaphosa attended fiery talks at the White House with U.S. counterpart Donald Trump.
Speaking shortly before the delegation returns home, Ramaphosa said the U.S. and South Africa would in the future discuss cooperating on mining rare earth metals.
