Why I Quit Cycling & My Motivation To Start Riding Bikes Again

I started cycling competitively over 10 years ago, and it's been a long journey with a lot of ups and downs. In today's video, I talk a little bit about why I quit cycling, getting burned out from racing, and ultimately why I gave up on my dream of becoming a professional cyclist.

I've competed in most every endurance cycling discipline from mountain bike, to track, to road and cyclocross, all at fairly high levels. Despite really enjoying it for the first few years, and being high off of my cycling aspirations and race victories, I let things go a little bit too far to the point where I ended up hating cycling and didn't touch a bicycle for a full year.

Thankfully, I was able to get over this and fall in love with cycling all over again (as you can see from all of the recent cycling videos on my channel).
