Intake Re-Install - Will It Fit? - High Performance 1776cc VW Engine

Returned the modified EMPI VW Beetle Weber 40mm intake manifold to the 1964 VW Beetle with 1776cc engine today. Matt reinstalled it on his Beetle.

Problems with the EMPI VW Beetle Weber 40mm intake manifold. The throttle cable does not properly align with the intake manifold and clear it in such a way that it all fits without interference. After some trial and error, we removed the manifold and I took it home to modify the pipes and push the body 0.5in to the left.

Took a visit to see Wild Bill today. This is the engine that he was building this summer. He is building a high performance (really a moderate performance) Volkswagen Beetle 1776 engine for a friend in common and he needed some help. (69 crank + 90.5 pistons.) It turns out he didn't need the help after all, but he goes over some of the basics in regards to the bottom end assembly. Good stuff for those that haven't done this before.
