Jenny Hart of Sublime Stitching shares a clever way of framing your embroidery without damaging your work. No gluing! No cutting! So a year or two down the road when you decide that beautifully embroidered design would look great as a pillow or a quilt square, you can easily remove it from its frame and repurpose it. Be certain to watch all of Jenny's videos for embroidery basics to more advanced stitching projects.

Helpful note! If your embroidery was created on a larger piece of fabric you may be tempted to cut off the excess material around the edges when fitting it into a frame. But think twice before trimming if you may want to use the piece for another project down the road. It goes without saying, once you've cut away any excess, there's no putting it back!

Jenny Hart first tried embroidery in the summer of 2000 and quickly became known for her stitched portraits of the famous and infamous. Her works have appeared in numerous books and magazines including Vogue, Rolling Stone, BUST, Nylon & Juxtapoz. She founded Sublime Stitching in 2001 with a new model for embroidery design and resources. Since then, Hart has become an internationally recognized fine artist and designer. She has authored eight titles on embroidery for Chronicle Books, and her drawings and works in embroidery have been exhibited and published internationally. In 2012 the Renwick gallery intends to acquire her artwork for the permanent collection of the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
