Chris Kyle: Killed By The Man He Tried ToHelp #shorts

Chris Kyle was the most lethal sniper in U.S. military history, surviving four grueling tours in Iraq with 160 confirmed kills. However, his greatest danger didn't come from a battlefield, but from a place of compassion back home. In 2013, Kyle and his friend Chad Littlefield took a veteran named Eddie Ray Routh to a Texas shooting range, hoping that the outdoors would help Routh cope with severe PTSD. During the drive, Kyle sensed something was deeply wrong, texting Littlefield: "This dude is straight-up nuts." Tragically, just minutes after arriving, Routh turned his weapons on both men, ending the life of a soldier who had survived the impossible abroad only to fall while trying to heal a fellow veteran at home. This heartbreaking irony remains a somber reminder of the invisible scars of war and the complex challenges veterans face when returning to civilian life.
