Acordai Donzela (Traditional Brazilian) arranged for Two Guitars

The beautiful melody in this piece comes from a
traditional Brazilian folk tune arranged here for
two guitars by Nicoletta Todesco. Guitar 1 carries
the melody, which is almost entirely in eight notes
throughout and so right-hand alternation and
planning out right-hand fingerings to have good
string crossings will be important. Guitar 2 plays
an accompanying role, with a waltz-like rhythm of
right-hand thumb and fingers alternating. There are
some scale passages in guitar 2 as well, which should
come to the foreground in certain moments and in
others need to sync up with guitar 1.
