After installing our Double Cardon driveshaft, we were experiencing some serious vibrations with our 2005 jeep wrangler rubicon. We did not need to install a slip yoke eliminator kit because rubicons come with fixed flanged rear outputs from the transfer case. If you own a non rubicon model, you must first install a slip yoke eliminator kit.
We discuss the importance of setting your pinion angle properly. This can be done using a cheap angle finder (https://amzn.to/3gUZUGr). You must first measure the slope of the driveshaft, and then you must measure the slope of the differential. The goal is to get the differential pointing 1-2 degrees lower than the driveshaft in order to compensate for the rise when torque is applied.
Installing rear adjustable upper control arms gives you the necessary ability to control the angle of the differential to properly set the pinion. It is seriously much easier to install adjustable control arms vs fixed. Check out the entire video to see exactly how its done on a jeep wrangler rubicon!
