House robbery through driveway gate

Watch this #HouseRobbery modus operandi:

First thing the robber does is press the intercom and wait for answer. Realizing no one is home he continues by trying to lift gate of its rails, but there is an anti-lift bracket on the gate so he can't lift it.
He goes back to car to fetch a crowbar and breaks the tooth rack on the gate.

1) Instal a GSM intercom. Answering intercom even if you are not at home will be a deterant.
2) Weld a metal flat bar to fill in gap between gate and tooth rack so it can't be forced off.
