In this walkthrough, I solve the OWASP Juice Shop “Missing Encoding” 1-star challenge by manually inspecting the image URL. I noticed that the broken image contained a hash (#) character in the URL, which was not properly encoded. By recognizing this encoding issue and replacing the hash with its correct URL-encoded value, the image loads successfully and reveals Bjoern’s cat photo. This challenge demonstrates how missing or incorrect URL encoding can break application functionality and lead to unexpected behavior.
