In this video, I answer more of your questions about figure skating terminology that confuses you!

Starting out with "skate through your hips", I explain all about the hip position in figure skating, and what is right and what is wrong!

Next, I answer explain about figure skating on circles. Why a coach would be telling you to do your forward crossovers on a big circle!

Then, I look at the commonly used expression tighten your core, or engage your core/use your core. I explain exactly what this means in detail and how it is applicable to skating.

Finally, I discuss Jump position and how crossing your feet is very important in executing your jumps well. When, how, and why you should hit this crossed feet rotational position!
