Replacing the seals on a hydraulic cylinder; How to Disassemble a John Deere Lift Cylinder

I have never worked on hydraulics so when the lift cylinders on my bucket loader started leaking after 14 years of abuse I decided to try the job myself.

This is a 541 loader from about 2004 on a Deere 5520 (same year). Deere has several different types of cylinders on their products. This can be done by the average guy but it probably is best just to take it into a hydraulics shop.

Another experience to cross off the bucket list! I'd sure welcome comments/critiques from people who do this for a living.
