2011 Hyundai Sonata SE Turbo Oil Pan Gasket Change

We changed the oil pan gasket on the 2011 Hyundai Sonata SE Turbo. It's a fairly straight forward job but definitely takes some patience and determination to get the old oil pan gasket to let go. That really is the hardest part, once you have the oil pan off the clean up and putting it back is simple.

Tools:
-Socket Wrench (with extension)
-Sockets: 10mm, 12mm, 13mm
-Hammer
-Razor/paint scrapers/misc things to get the oil pan to let go.
-Safety Glasses
-Oil filter (because why not)
-5qt of oil
-Permatex Gasket Maker (RTV) Whatever color you decide, we did grey.
-Acetone (or your choice of degreaser)
-Philips head screw driver (for the two bumper snaps on the plastic undercarriage guard thing at the front)
-Torque wrench (that does 8.7 to 11 ft lbs)
-Wire brushes and supplies to get the old gasket off once you have the oil pan off.

- Disclaimer: Attempt at your own risk, not my fault if you mess something up. Be careful and use common sense.
