With musician around her and in the minstrel's gallery, she and her daughter perform an "after banquet" festivity to an invited audience. Carols and wassails from the British Middle Ages are mixed with German and French songs and dances.
Montserrat Caballé is seen as you've never seen her before - informal, relaxed, having fun and entertaining her audience in the stunning setting of Beaulieu Palace.
Montserrat is the matriarch but her daughter Montserrat Marti has turned into a fine young soprano too - trained by her mother, and fast making a reputation as a soloist.
