Lian Li Lancool 217 Wood Build — Minimalist ATX Case with RTX 5080 ProArt
Lian Li Lancool 217 is a minimalist ATX case with real walnut wood — but it’s not for everyone.
In this video, I build a Zero ARGB gaming PC with RTX 5080 and Ryzen 7 9800X3D to see who this case is really for.
It’s paired with 64 GB of XPG Lancer Blade DDR5 running at 6000 MHz, and for the system and games I’m using a fast Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2 TB.
The CPU is installed on the ASUS TUF Gaming B850-PLUS WiFi motherboard and cooled by the Lian Li Hydroshift 360 AIO to keep temperatures under control.
Graphics are handled by the ASUS ProArt RTX 5080 OC, which also features wood accents as part of its design, matching the case and giving the build a distinctive, premium look. The entire system is powered by a Corsair RM850e 850W power supply.
In the end, this turned into a clean, modern blackout build focused on performance, airflow, and a unique look — and I’m really happy with how it turned out.
This build focuses on clean design, airflow, and performance — but the Lancool 217 isn’t ideal for everyone. If you’re considering a minimalist, no-RGB setup with high-end components, this video will help you decide whether it’s worth it.
