This treadmill is powered by 1.5HP electric motor and features a folding design so it only occupies minimal space when folded. It has a built-in electric motor and needs to be plugged in an outlet all the time to work. Some assembly is required before first use and it took me about 15 minutes to set it up. Tool, screws, and lubrication oil are all included in package.
I like that overall this treadmill runs fairly quiet and stable. I can exercise on the treadmill and have no problem hearing sounds from TV or listening to music. The folding design is very handy as I can be fold this treadmill into a "standing" position for easier storage. There are built-in wheels and they make it easy for me to move the treadmill around. The control unit has a large LCD screen which displays heart rate (require both hands to touch the sensors on handlebar to function), distance, running time, and calorie all the time. Safety features such as emergency clip (treadmill will stop when the clip is removed from control unit) and slow stop (treadmill slows down to stop instead of sudden stop) are nice to have.
