Shocking News: 8 Dead, Several Injured After Molten Steel Leaks At Visakhapatnam Steel Plant

At least eight workers have died and several others sustained injuries following a molten steel leak at the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. The incident occurred when machinery carrying molten steel at a very high temperature malfunctioned and cracked open, causing the material to spill. Fire and rescue operations are currently underway in the cordoned-off area as authorities work to safely evacuate trapped workers and extinguish the fire. Injured personnel have been shifted to nearby hospitals, and officials state that the fatality count may rise. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has spoken with authorities, directing them to ensure medical care for the injured and coordinate supportive measures across departments. A complete investigation into the exact cause of the malfunction, including the possibility of an electrical short circuit, will commence once the fire is fully controlled and the site is secured.
