6 Common Short Story Mistakes

There is no one way to write a short story, but these are a few common pitfalls that many new writers fall into. There are exceptions to all of these, but if you're new to the short form, be on the look out for these!

1:25 - Trying to do too much
2:30 - Not having a specific focus
3:32 - Withholding too much information
4:40 - A lacklustre title or first sentence
5:22 - Choosing a protagonist without something interesting to offer
