Authentic Newfoundland Slush Cocktail

The Authentic Newfoundland Slush Cocktail you are going to run to the store to make! Words cannot describe just how deliciously good this is. Best of all, it makes a lot of slush for easy and quick entertaining. If you don't drink simply omit the vodka and store in the fridge to top with ginger ale or 7 Up by the glass full.

You are going to love this drink and to be honest, I may have loved it a little too much, Ha Ha.

Newfoundland Slush recipes became popular in the 80's and have become a cherished tradition. Traditionally this is made Dec 22 or earlier and served to guests over the Christmas holidays beginning with Tibb's Eve on Dec 23, when it's socially acceptable to start your holiday festivities with friends and family. This recipe is a passed down family favorite from a friend of mine in St.Johns Newfoundland, no wonder Newfoundlanders are so friendly..

Make room in your freezer, grab your glass and enjoy!

Newfoundland Slush:
1 can Pineapple Juice
1 can concentrated frozen Orange Juice
1 can concentrated frozen Pink Lemonade
26 oz+ Vodka
7 Up or Ginger Ale to top.

Thaw concentrated orange juice and pink lemonade. Mix with pineapple juice, and vodka in a large freezer proof container. Place in freezer and sit overnight.

Fill glass 1/2 to 3/4 full of slush and top with 7 Up or Ginger Ale. Best served with a straw.
I hope you enjoy this Newfoundland tradition...Even if it's not Tibb's Eve.
