NCBI Datasets is a new website for downloading genome sequence, annotation, and transcript and protein sequences. Datasets gives you access to coronavirus genome and protein data—and allows filtering by release date and host. It provides a new gene data table to easily upload a list of genes and view columns of key metadata, and allows you to download the table as well as related genomic, transcript and protein sequences for each gene. Datasets comes with a command-line tool that runs on linux, mac and windows that allows programmatic access to genome, coronavirus and gene data. It includes an API interface for developers that allows access to genome, coronavirus and gene data.
