Mike Sarraille: The Most Junior Enlisted SEALs of Task Unit Bruiser were the Highest Performers

Mike Sarraille brings up an example of how they used this in the SEAL Teams, and in the Iraq War, putting the most junior enlisted SEALs in leadership positions, and the opportunity to step up and lead as much as they could leading to those junior enlisted SEALs being the most high performing individuals in Task Unit Bruiser, listing Mike Monsoor, Ryan Job, Marc Lee and Jonny Kim as examples, all enlisted SEALs on their first deployment who became highly decorated as a result of their actions on that deployment and exhibited selflessness on the battlefield after taking charge.

Michael Monsoor, who fought his way to a wounded SEAL and dragged him to safety, and would jump on a grenade a few months later to save 3 teammates, without hesitation. Recipient of the Medal of Honor, Silver Star and Bronze Star with Combat "V".

Ryan Job, who after his entire squad getting pinned down by enemy machine gunners, would step into the middle of the street and lay down cover fire to successfully deter the enemy and get every one of his teammates to safety, with the bullets flying past his face. And, a few months later when he would be painfully shot across the face by a ricocheting sniper's bullet and still insisting on standing on his own strength, not wanting to burden anyone else besides his medic by taking them out of the fight. Recipient of the Bronze Star with Combat "V", 2 Navy Commendation Medals with Combat "V", and 2 Navy Achievement Medals with Combat "V".

Marc Lee, who fearlessly stepped directly into the line of fire to engage the enemy three times on August 2, 2006, like numerous times before - to safely evacuate a wounded teammate - Ryan Job and to protect the men behind him after gunfire burst into the room they were in, after which he was killed in action. Recipient of the Silver Star and Bronze Star with Combat "V".

Jonny Kim, who ran 30 meters through a barrage of enemy gunfire with another SEAL to drag a wounded Iraqi soldier to safety, and him alone exposing himself to enemy gunfire again after another Iraqi soldier was shot in the head, and then treating him, saving his life. He exposed himself to sniper fire to tend to a fellow SEAL, after numerous times of doing the same thing on that deployment, leading to him being named Naval Special Warfare Medic of the Year for 2006. In 2008, he would receive a Navy Commendation with Combat "V" for actions in the Battle of Route Gold in Sadr City. In 2012, he would become a Tillman Scholar.
