Terrifying FLASHOVER in downtown LOS ANGELES caught on video!

I apologize in advance - this is FAR from my usual style of storytelling... Some of you might find this disturbing and may want to skip this video.

Having said that, I was in downtown Los Angeles riding my electric skateboard when I saw a number of fire trucks and police cars running priority code 3 - lights and sirens blaring. I smelled a burning odor and decided to take a closer look.

The video depicts the events as it happened in real time - it was surreal and terrifying - I had never experienced anything remotely close to this. It felt like an out of control roaring freight train barreling down on you as the ground beneath my feet rumbled. Did my best to steady the phone (camera) - but I was really really scared!

It is believed the explosion was caused by Honey Butane stored in one of the businesses in the 300 block of Boyd Street.

In reviewing the footage and editing this video, dramatic scenes of the firefighters escaping down the ladder and reaction of the firemen manning the battalion truck are images I will never forget. Can't imagine the horror those brave men and women went through as they witnessed their own nightmare unfold right before their eyes.

Listen to actual fire department radio communication here: https://youtu.be/hdzSbV2wNWI

It is my understanding at least 10 firefighters were seriously injured and were sent to hospital.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of the first responders right here in Los Angeles and all over the world. May the doctors and nurses bring each member of the department to sound health. May God rest his hand on each first responders family member of those impacted providing spiritual peace and a sense of comfort.

God Bless
