Demoscene Archive - Future Crew (All Demos - 60FPS)
In today's episode of Demoscene Archive, it's time for one of the most famous and well-known demogroups of all time, Future Crew, a Finnish team active between 1987 and 1994, who was responsible for creating some of the most impressive PC demos of the time, with revolutionary effects like reflections, voxels, mesh deformation, 3D modelling & shading and raytracing.
However, during 1993, Finland saw the birth of the country's first ever commercial game developers Bloodhouse and Terramarque, and so because of it, the FC team decided to leave the demoscene the next year, in 1994, and get into the gaming business as well, with the goal to show off the group's technologies and talent. For that, they founded Remedy Entertainment in 1995, which would years later become famous for the neo-noir shooter Max Payne, and two years later, in 1997, some of Remedy's staff founded Futuremark, as a sister company, which became famous for its pioneering 3DMark series of 3D benchmarks initially using Remedy's own engine, called MAX-FX.

I want to personally thank all the people who were once part of Future Crew, your contribution to the PC demoscene in general is invaluable and timeless, you weren't just a simple demogroup, you showed the PC to the world as a multimedia device, you were destined to make history and be part of it, and you made a really good use of so limited hardware at the time. Those soundtracks shall never be forgotten..
