This BBC documentary was created in 1989 and it reviewed what Army life was really like back then. Today`s headlines with the forces are monopolized by events in Afghanistan with past functionalities, campaigns and events overshadowed. It is no doubt that the British Army has changed significantly over the past 22 years, however some things still remain the same-The Governments M.O.D policies may change but the lies remain the same!

I served with 1 RWF from 1986-2000 and was stationed in Berlin from July 89-June 92. I met soldiers from 1 L I during my tour there and also had the privilege of meeting a few off the guys that had featured in this documentary.
