Command Chaining in Linux: && vs ; Explained
In this video I talk about command chaining in Linux. There are two different examples I go over which are the && and ;. Both will allow you to combine multiple commands. The && will only run the next command if the first command succeeds. The ; will always run the next commands no matter if the previous commands failed.
These can be really helpful for a number of different things but one example could be where you have the first command takes a while and you want to run a command right after that one finishes. You could use command chaining to put the next command after the first so you don't have to wait around.
