A few notes on building this out.

PAINT
The paint is deadly if you sand it without the use of an dust mask as it released LEAD into the air.

Read instructions carefully, as you are dealigning with a real rust activator and it will give different results based on time, humidity, preparation etc.... it may be worth it to test a small batch out on a wood scrap to get your results.

I had done a whole other project (Time Machine ) with this paint and went into the project with that experience and it helped!

Also, the final result of the rust will be dulled down by the Perma Coat, so if its a bit too bright or orange for you, it will fade away a little and look more natural when its finished and cured. Takes about 7 days to cure.

ALEXA DOT ECHO

This was a lot easier than I thought. You can change the name of Alexa Wake word in settings....you only have a few options.

You need to make sure to use WIFI wall sockets that are compatible to ALEXA, in this video, I found 4 wall sockets and a wall strip. You set up each device individually first, the Alexa on her app, and the wall sockets on their app (in this case SMART HOME) ...then you pair them together and give Alexa permission to control.

From there you can go in and change all the custom names of each wall socket so that ALEXA can recognize them. Careful as she wont recognize everything, think simple names and you'll be fine. You can also group wall sockets together so with one command you can power everything on or off, in this case "Wayne Manor " powered everything on.
The LED strips are pretty self-explanatory, plug em in and go for it.....I placed the sound activator close to ALEXA so she would trigger the color change on the LEDS just by talking.
What started out as ordinary high school lockers, we transformed into an Echo Dot (Amazon Alexa) powered BAT CAVE to hold all my camera, lenses, drones, and charge batteries all on voice command.

Sounds complicated? Its not actually!

This episode was a ton of fun and was based from the need to store my growing camera war-chest somewhere....anywhere.
....did you know you can create real rust on any surface within a matter of hours using Metallic reactive paint from Modern masters? This gem was taught to me by my fiance, last year when she coated the outside of our Time Machine with it......That's for another episode.
