#43 3,000 foot drop to the bottom of the Remac mine...the top levels.
Deepest mine we have ever explored.....the Remac was a huge Lead, Silver and Zinc mine that shut down in 1975. Two huge inclined shafts feed the main haul tunnel that is 2,6 km long. From the main level it is 750 feet to the main haul tunnel and a shaft goes down 564 meters below that to the bottom.
