Lesser-spotted eagles are Germany's most threatened eagles with around 100 breeding pairs. Only in the extreme northeast do you still find a few biotopes that have not been destroyed by intensive agriculture and forestry. For four years now I have been accompanying a pair of lesser-spotted eagles in Mecklenburg with my camera – from their arrival after the long journey from southern Africa in often cool April to their return flight in September. And almost always there were a young bird with them on the trip back to the warmth. One bird of hope at a time! Schreiadler sind mit noch gut 100 Brutpaaren Deutschlands bedrohteste Adler. Nur im äußerste Nordosten finden sie noch einige wenige, nicht durch intensive Land- und Forstwirtschaft zerstörte Biotope. Seit nun vier Jahren begleite ich ein Schreiadler-Paar in Mecklenburg mit der Kamera – von der Ankunft nach der langen Reise aus dem südlichen Afrika im oft noch kühlen April bis zum Rückflug im September.
