Tips for using e-books

Focus on online reading comprehension: you do have to teach kids explicitly how to read e-books from how to access the device to how to read the e-book. Need to teach how to access embedded features such as sounds, media, hyperlinked vocabulary, read-aloud features, etc. Some have translation features.
Educate yourself about the availability of e-books whether accessible via mobile device or the web.
What are options of e-books (e.g., hyperlinked words; changing font size)
Gamify reading--set goals and allow for choice and student preferences when selecting e-books
