केडी केम्पम्मा Cyanide Mallika - India's First Convicted Female Serial Killer

केडी केम्पम्मा, जिसे साइनाइड मल्लिका के नाम से भी जाना जाता है, भारत की पहली दोषी महिला सीरियल किलर है। 1999 में अपनी पहली हत्या के साथ शुरुआत करते हुए केम्पम्मा ने अगले 8 वर्षों में 6 महिलाओं की हत्या कर दी, 5 अक्टूबर और 2007 में दिसंबर के बीच। मंदिर में देवी—देवताओं से मनोकामना करने वाली महिलाओं से दोस्ती करके वह अपने काम को अंजाम देती थी। उनका विश्वास हासिल करने के बाद वह उन्हें दूसरे मंदिर में बुलाती, उन्हें अपने सबसे अच्छे कपड़े और आभूषण पहनने के लिए कहती और उन्हें साइनाइड के साथ 'पवित्र जल' पीने के लिए देती। पुलिस ने जेवरों को ठिकाने लगाने की कोशिश में उसे पकड़ लिया और पूछताछ में उसने कबूल कर लिया। वह कर्नाटक में मौत की सजा पाने वाली पहली महिला थीं।
