A Marriage Rooted in Faith, Where Everyone Cries - Dream Point Ranch Wedding Video in Oklahoma

So many happy tears for Elli and Isaac's Wedding. The groom cries, dad cries, sister cries, bride cries. SO MANY happy tears. You could tell these two were meant to be, and it was prevalent as the weekend went on. I was allowed to be at the family's home the evening before the wedding as the family prepared to marry off Elli and Isaac. So many heart felt speeches. So many amazing memories shared, and moments created. A perfect summer evening outside, with games out back, kids jumping into the pool, and family memories being made.

The wedding day was a continuation of this beautiful thing I was able to watch. Two families, rooted in their faith, and loving Jesus, and serving Him by living lives for Him. The fruit of so many decisions over the years by both of these families had Elli and Isaac ready for this big day, and the true meaning of a Christian marriage was obvious.

Elli and Isaac's wedding was at The Dream Point Ranch in Bixby, Oklahoma. The scene was set for a perfect day overlooking one of the best views in Oklahoma. The evening was filled with dancing, laughing, and memories being made. I am so humbled and honored to have had the opportunity to film this wedding at Dream Point Ranch for Elli and Isaac.

We met at college in choir and became part of the same friend group. The sparks began to fly on a trip that they took together to Chicago through JBU. It was on that trip that Isaac first noticed Elli as a sweet and beautiful girl, but at the time she was a freshman and he was a junior, so he didn't want to acknowledge that there might be something there even though there definitely was! During that school year (2019-2020), Isaac ended up dating a mutual friend of ours just before the start of the pandemic. That relationship only lasted a few months (COVID helped to put it to an end), but it was very hard for Elli to watch, and needless to say she was happy when she heard that news that Isaac was no longer dating in the fall of 2020. It took a that whole semester of being good friends to finally get around to dating- it was perfect timing, but it felt like it took FOREVER to get to that point (Elli's perspective). The real impetus was a conversation that Isaac had with his housemates just before Christmas break--everyone could see that they were a perfect match--he just needed the courage to say something. Over that Christmas break Isaac got to meet Elli's family after joining them for a ski trip "just as a friend" and then he knew. :) Elli and Isaac started dating 2/1/21 and for that spring and summer enjoyed a wonderful time of making memories as Isaac wrapped up his senior year of college and began working full-time and Elli geared up for Nursing school and worked at camp that summer. The summer was hard because they could only see each once a week on Elli's off days from camp, but they made lots of sweet memories exploring the back roads of Northeastern Oklahoma and having picnics and sunset walks on the shore of Lake Hudson. As the fall semester approached of Elli's junior year, Isaac knew it was time to make some decisions--he wanted to marry this girl! He made a plan to start saving for a ring as Elli dove into nursing school. Then in early October, one Monday he went to "book club," but he was really going to have dinner with Elli's parents to ask to marry her. Later that week, the ring was burning a hole in his pocket, so he made a last minute plan with Elli and a few friends for a sunrise hike at Devil's Den State Park near Fayetteville, AR (also the location of our first kiss a few months prior). Elli had no idea what was in store at the end of the hike, and Isaac was super nervous and could barely put a sentence together (she said yes though!), and the rest of the weekend was filled with celebrating with friends and family!!

We are ecstatic to begin our life together in marriage--it has been a long time coming, but it is so great to look back and see God's faithfulness through it all. We are getting married because we are deeply in love and see marriage as God's gift to live into that love and image Christ's love of the world more explicitly in our lives.
