Colorado Trail Section Hike | Segment 6 (West) | Day 4 - Into Breckenridge Colorado

This is day 4 of a 4 day section hike of segments 5 and 6 of the Colorado Trail. The hike started at Long Gulch Trailhead and Ends at the Gold Hill Trailhead. The total distance for this hike was 47.3 miles. Ironically, my Garmin InReach Exployer+ says we hiked 54.8 miles. This is the longest hike using trail runners and the Hoka One One Stinson ATR 5s did a great job with grip on the muddy clay and I didn't have any problems plantar fasciitis, which had plagued me with other trail runners. I did end up with some small blisters on the right side of my heal from trying to stay out of all the puddles hiking in the rain the last day. I enjoyed hiking with Mark ("Nails") and his dog Easton ("Hammer") and thank him for his patience and company.
