This city originally was called Town of Sherman, and its history goes back to “ancient” by Los Angeles' standards 1896. Back in the day it was a railroad town with hardworking people residing there. Located nearly halfway between Downtown and Santa Monica, it was perfectly located in order to service railroad and its needs.

Back then lands around this part of town weren't that popular and could be bought with $10 downpayment. Things have changed quite drastically since then. Nowadays West Hollywood is one of the most desirable places to live in all of the Greater Los Angeles Area.

Being known worldwide as a center or LGBTQ culture, this community is very vibrant and cultural. Add an amazing location to the mix (Beverly Hills on one side, Hollywood on the other), and you will discover the recipe for one of the most desirable areas in town with amazing entertainment and job opportunities right there.

Single Family Home Price Range: Consider yourself a very lucky camper if you can find and snitch a house in West Hollywood just over a million dollars. More likely than not, you will end up paying significantly more than one million dollars if you would like to have a sound house in addition to a parcel of land in this neighborhood. Being in a very high demand, new constructions or beautifully remodeled homes are sold here for over $3M, with newest additions to the market going for $5M and even close to $10M.

Condo Price Range: Condo market in West Hollywood is very active! Lots of young people would do any thing to live here, and this anything starts with a moderate $400K. That would probably be the lowest point of entry to the market here, but for this money you would end up with a very tiny studio, which is still not bad because who spends time at home if you are in the epicenter of night life anyway? On the other hand, if you are one of those people that likes to bring party to their homes, if you like to live large (still, without necessary obligations of cutting your grass, etc), you could open up your wallet and get ready to go for something impressive, and there are a lot of condos that would blow your mind away! With the million dollar views come million dollar price tags. Multi million dollar price tags, where some of the new luxury full service buildings offer penthouses for tens of millions of dollars.
