Mandolin Mondays Featuring Ashley Broder /// "The Race"

Mandolin Mondays #124: This week on Mandolin Mondays, West Coast mandolinist and composer Ashley Broder brings us an exciting original piece played on her fantastic Apitius mandolin.

Ashley is an incredibly talented, classically trained musician who draws from a wide breadth of styles in her playing and compositions. Her band the Syncopaths exemplify this diversity, combining Scottish, Irish, and American Folk musics with Classical and Jazz sensibilities to create a unique and engaging sound. In addition to performing and touring across the US and the UK, she also does work as a composer. Currently she is working on a long form composition inspired by the coast of Southern California called the Channel Islands Suite to be premiered in 2019.
