I specifically bought this salicylic 2% Masque to exfoliate and deal with some texture I was having on my skin. I was also excited about the other ingredients .. e.g. kaolin clay and charcoal to help with detoxifying my skin.

Unfortunately with my skin being #oily and #sensitive this product proved to be too strong and sensitising for me. In fact The Ordinary website states that this product should NOT be used on sensitive skin.

I did read the instructions but for some reason that part escaped me!

I did do a patch test on my arm. However the ‘tingle’ was no where near as pronounced as it was on my face. I thought that with time my skin would ‘acclimatise’ to the tingle as it did on my arm. I wanted the results but my skin was/didn’t really tolerate this product. It’s a fail for me only because I shouldn’t have been using it in the first place!
